Transfers
Record stock moving from one branch to another so each branch's stock stays right.
When you move stock from one branch to another, record it as a transfer. The stock leaves one branch and enters the other immediately, so each branch's balance stays right.
Where to find it
From the menu: Stock → Transfers, or the Transfers tab on the Stock page.
This page only shows in the menu when your shop has more than one branch. With one branch you see You have one branch. You can add a branch in Settings.
Make a transfer
New transfer
Tap New transfer.
From and To
From is the branch you have open. Pick the destination in To. To send from another branch, switch the active branch at the top first.
Scan the items
Scan or search the items to move. Each scan adds one, and you can change the quantity. Each item shows On hand, and the quantity can't go above it: an item with none here isn't added, and scanning past what you have says That's all you have.
Note (optional)
For example: sent with Mohamed.
Review and transfer
Tap Review & transfer, then Transfer.
You can't transfer more than the branch you're sending from has. If the stock drops while the screen is open (a sale, say), the item shows more than you have and you lower it before transferring.
Bundles can't be transferred because they have no stock of their own. Transfer their items.
After the transfer
- A transfer records two movements in stock movements: Transfer out from the first branch and Transfer in to the other, at the current average cost.
- Cost doesn't change with a transfer, because there's one average cost for the whole shop.
- Each transfer's page shows From, To, who recorded it (By) and the note. The items and Value at cost show to people with the See cost or Adjust stock permission.
Transfers need the Transfer between branches permission.
Stock counts
Count stock with your phone or a scanner, together with colleagues, see the differences, and post the count to correct stock.
Purchases
Record goods from a supplier with a scanner, pay from cash or a wallet or put it on credit, spread transport costs over item cost, and return goods to the supplier.
