Salaries
Add employees with base pay and commission, run each month's payroll in one tap, and record advances, deductions, bonuses and payments.
Keep track of what each employee earns and what you've paid them. This is for bookkeeping only; it's not legal payroll (no insurance or tax).
Where to find it
In the menu: Money → Salaries.
Salaries need Manage salaries. People with Manage team and permissions can open the page and see the employee list without the money.
Add an employee
Tap New employee
On the Salaries page.
Basic details
Name is required. You can add Phone, Job title and, with more than one branch, the Branch.
Pay
Enter the Monthly base salary. If they get a cut, set Sales commission (% of their net sales in the month) and, for technicians, Share of labour (technicians).
Login account
Under Login account, link the employee to their login in the app. Sales commission uses their sales in the app, so it needs a linked login. A login also lets them clock in from their phone (see attendance).
Working hours (optional)
Set Working hours (From and To), Working days and Grace before counting late. These are used to flag late, early and absent days. Leave them empty if there are no fixed hours.
Save
Tap Save.
Turn off Active for someone who left. Inactive employees are skipped by payroll.
Run the month's payroll
Pick the month at the top, then tap Run this month's payroll and Run. This:
- Adds the base salary for every active employee who doesn't have it yet.
- Adds commission for employees with a commission rate.
- Moves no cash. You pay each employee from their page.
- Never duplicates if you run it again.
How commission is worked out
- Sales commission = their net sales in the month × their %. Net sales are their completed sales as the cashier, minus returns on those sales.
- Share of labour = the labour on repairs they did and that were handed over that month × their %.
Both are added together as one Commission entry.
The employee page
Tap an employee to see the month: Still owed this month, and Earned, Advances and Paid. If they took more than they earned, you'll see Took more than earned. Below that is Owed across all months.
If payroll hasn't run yet, you'll see Base salary not added yet with an Add button, and a commission preview (for example net sales × % = amount).
Record an advance, deduction, bonus or payment
Tap one of the buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Advance | Cash taken now, taken off this month's salary. |
| Deduct | Reduces what they're owed. No cash moves. A Reason is required. |
| Bonus | Adds to what they're owed this month. |
| Pay | Cash you hand over from their salary. |
For Advance and Pay, pick the account under From which account?. That account's balance goes down.
Wrong entry? Tap Reverse next to it and enter a reason. Nothing is deleted; a reversal is added.
Attendance doesn't change pay by itself. The month's attendance shows on the employee page, and you add a deduction by hand if needed.
Salaries in your profit
Base salary, commission, bonuses and deductions count in Salaries in your profit report. Advances and payments are cash movements; they don't change the salary cost.
