Sales

Every sale on the branch. Find a sale, reprint it, return items or void it.

The Sales page lists every sale made on the branch, and it updates live as people sell. From here you find any sale, reprint its receipt, return items, or void it.

Where to find it

In the menu: Sales → Sales.

The page shows for people with the Sell at the POS or See profit and finance permission. Returns need Process returns, and voiding needs Void sales.

Find a sale

  • Period: Today, Yesterday, 7 days, This month, or Custom with a date range.
  • Search: type the Invoice number or customer name/phone.
  • Cashier: show one staff member's sales, or All cashiers.
  • Payment method: Cash, Wallet, InstaPay, Card or On credit.
  • Status: Completed, Voided or Has returns.

Above the list is a summary of what's shown: Sales, Sales total, Returns and Net (with how much is on credit). Voided sales are left out of these numbers.

The page shows only the latest 1000 sales in the period. If you have more, narrow the period.

Sale details

Tap any sale to open it. You see:

  • Items: each item with quantity, price and discount. Bundles show their parts.
  • The subtotal, discount and total, plus returned and net if there were returns.
  • Payment: each method and the account the money went into.
  • Details: customer, cashier, shift and any note.

With the See cost or See margins permission you also see the cost and profit per item and for the whole sale.

Reprint a receipt

Tap the printer icon at the top of the sale (Print receipt). It prints on a thermal receipt. A voided sale prints with VOIDED on it.

Return items

Open the sale and tap Return

Return shows when the sale isn't voided and still has items that weren't returned.

Choose items and quantities

Each line shows how much is Returnable. Set the quantity or tap All. Bundles return whole.

Choose how to refund

Under Refund how? pick Cash, Wallet or InstaPay and the account to refund from. If the sale has a customer, you can pick Credit to account to take the amount off what they owe.

Record it

Add a Reason if you like, then tap Record return.

Items go back to stock at their original cost from this sale, not today's cost, so profit stays right. Returns show in the Returns section of the sale.

Void a sale

Voiding reverses everything: stock returns at its original cost, money is taken back out of the cash box or wallet, and any credit is cancelled. You can't void a sale that has returns.

Tap Void sale

The button shows for people with Void sales, when the sale has no returns.

Enter a reason

A reason is required. Then tap Void sale.

The sale stays in the list marked Voided. Inside, it shows the reason, who voided it and when.
